60 g / 1⁄4 cup Crystal Margarine, melted
150 g / 1 cup Walnuts
100 g / 1 cup Almond slivers
150 g / 1 cup Pumpkin seeds
150 g / 1 cup Pistachios
150 g / 1 cup Sunflower seeds
115 g / 3⁄4 cup Flax seeds
50 g / 2 tbsp Honey
40 g / 2 tbsp Maple syrup
30 ml / 2 tbsp Vanilla extract
1 cup Strawberries, dried
1 cup Cherries, dried
1 cup Blueberries, dried
1 cup Banana chips
Pinch of Salt
Directions
- Pre-heat the oven to 250°F(120°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the nuts, seeds, and brown sugar.
- In a smaller bowl, combine the maple syrup, honey, melted Crystal Margarine, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the syrup and Crystal mixture over the nuts and seeds. Toss evenly to coat.
- Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Transfer the granola to the oven. Cook for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. If the mixture is colouring too fast, turn the oven temperature down.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Pour the candied nut and seed clusters into a bowl. Add the dried fruit, and toss to evenly distribute.
- Transfer the trail mix into airtight containers and store for up to 3 weeks.
